The MLBB MSC 2024 Playoffs kicked off today, unveiling the intense
single-elimination bracket where only victory ensures a team’s progression
and a chance at the trophy. On July 10, the Esports World Cup MSC
quarterfinals showcased thrilling matches between Liquid Echo and Falcon
Esports, as well as Selangor Red Giants and Fire Flux Esports, providing
fans with some of the tournament’s most competitive gameplay.
MSC 2024 Playoffs Highlights
Liquid Echo vs. Falcon Esports
Team Liquid Echo entered the series as the clear favorites. The reigning
world champions had cruised through the Group Stage without dropping a
single game, easily earning their spot in the Playoffs. Throughout the
series, Echo consistently outmaneuvered Falcon Esports with their
strategic drafts. Exceptional performances by KarlTzy and Jaypee helped
Echo secure a commanding two-game lead.
When facing elimination, Falcon managed to claim the third game with an
unconventional Zhask pick. However, they couldn't sustain their momentum,
and Echo responded with a nearly flawless performance in the fourth game,
clinching the series with a 3-1 victory.
Selangor Red Giants vs. Fire Flux Esports
This contest unfolded as a tightly contested affair, with each team
trading victories, culminating in a pivotal fifth game. Initially, the
Selangor Red Giants gained an edge with a strategic Ling pick in the
jungle, securing wins in two of the first three games. Fire Flux Esports
adjusted by banning Ling in subsequent matches.
Despite these tactical changes, Fire Flux managed to win the fourth game,
leveling the series. In the decisive final match, however, the Selangor
Red Giants implemented a dominant strategy that overwhelmed Fire Flux,
resulting in their elimination from the competition.
